Vittozzi and Giacomel open the summer tricolors in Val Martello: they are the ones who take the Sprint

The sappadina and the young man from Primiero impose themselves in the first races of the Italian championships; Wierer (with a clamorous error of course) and Bionaz in second place, all the results also in the junior and young categories.

A typical autumn day in Val Martello opened the summer version of the tricolor biathlon, an event that, as usual, closes the first phase of preparation, thus opening the one in which the work is finalized in view of winter. The men's sprint opened the contest. Wonderful performance by Tommaso Giacomel (Fiamme Gialle) who dominated the race winning with a 38 ”advantage over Didier Bionaz (Army). The two young blues preceded the "captain" Lukas Hofer (Carabinieri), 1'07 "behind, but good at taking the podium for just 2" over Daniele Cappellari. Cedric Christille also performed well, finishing fifth at 1''30 ”, showing a clear growth compared to last season. In women, Lisa Vittozzi continues to send really important signals after winning a summer world title in Ruhpolding. Clear the success of the sappadina in strength of the CS Carabinieri: for Lisa an advantage of 48 ”on Dorothea Wierer (Fiamme Gialle), penalized by a sensational error of course that probably cost her the race. In third place Federica Sanfilippo (Fiamme Oro), with a gap of 1''15 ”6, just four tenths ahead of the returning Samuela Comola (Army). In the juniores competition, the Italian women's title went to Rebecca Passler, a great favorite on the eve. It was expected to see the carabiniere of Anterselva in the senior race, but for her the youth gold arrived; her performance would have earned her a fifth place in the senior race. In second position is Sara Scattolo (Army), 13 ”3 behind the winner. Third place went to Hannah Auchentaller (Carabinieri), who finished 19 ”1 behind Passler. Good performance by Gaia Brunetto, who finished fourth at 1 '' 03 "1. Prediction respected even among the jr boys: victory for Elia Zeni, on his debut with the uniform of the Fiamme Gialle, who won ahead of Marco Barale (Fiamme Oro), 20 ”5 behind and already in good condition. Third place for Thomas Daziano (Fiamme Oro), who reached 33 ”6, ahead of Nicolò Betemps and Christoph Pircher (Fiamme Oro). Piedmontese double among the young men: Paolo Barale wins over Nicola Giordano with a gap of 3 ”5. On the third step of the podium the young Friulian Alex Perissutti (SS Fornese), just 6 ”8 with three errors at the shooting range. In women, the victory went to Ilaria Scattolo, who won with a clear margin of advantage, 20 ”9, compared to Francesca Brocchiero and Fabiana Carpella.
