The first to take will be Marte Olsbu Røiseland, already a winner in the season in the Pursuit of Nove Mesto. The Norwegian will start with a 12 "lead over Kaisa Mäkäräinen and 21" over Franziska Hildebrand. Two other athletes will start with less than 30 "from the tread with the bib 4 will be in fact the turn of the Polish Monika Hojnisz (+0: 24), while the 5 will go on track Anastasiya Kuzmina (+0: 28).
Dorothea Wierer and Lisa Vittozzi, respectively 8th and 12th, will attempt to comeback to keep the Slovakian and especially Marte Olsbu in the overall standings. Alexia Runggaldier (36) and Nicole Gontier (39) will also be racing for Italy.
At 22.10 Italian time, the Men's pursuit will start.

In Val Pusteria sono andate in scena due giornate della versione estiva dello sci di fondo, con Marco Pinzani e Federica Cassol che hanno tronfato nella sprint del sabato sull'asfalto di Anterselva. A Dobbiaco, invece, le 10 km in alternato hanno regalato il successo a Davide Graz e Maria Gismondi, all'interno della cornice della Nordic Arena per quella che è stata la prima tappa della Coppa Italia invernale.
