The technical director Fabrizio Curtaz for the fifth stage of the World Cup has convened twelve athletes.

In addition to the 10 visas in action at Oberhof, the news will be two young people who at the start of the season have distinguished themselves in Ibu Cup and Ibu Junior Cup: Irene Lardschneider and Patrick Braunhofer. The two are also present in the list of athletes who will take part in the World Junior Championships, scheduled in Osrblie (Svk) from 26 January to 3 February. The presence at Ruhpolding will still be an opportunity to accumulate experience in a highly qualified context. For both the Thursday Sprint will be the absolute debut in the World Cup.
Coming to the program of the Ruhpolding stage, after the postponement of the Sprint Maschile, initially scheduled for Wednesday at 2.30 pm, the IBU has decided to reprogram it on Thursday 17 at 11.00 am.
