Biathlon: Swedish success in the Men's Relay of Hochfilzen, sixth Italy

The Swedes Femling, Ponsiluoma, Stenersen and Samuelsson have taken over Norway (Birkeland, L'Abee-Lund, T. Boe, Christiansen) and Germany (Schempp, Kuehn, Peiffer, Doll).

In the opening fraction Thomas Bormolini, with the "zero" at the polygon, has maintained Italy in the top positions. The livignasco, out in third position from the second series, in the last lap was able to resume and detach the Norwegian Birkeland, changing to second position at 26 "from a wild Benjamin Weger. Instead, he closed the French Guigonnat in the back, forced to make a round of penalties. Lukas Hofer started his own trial and in the first round reduced the gap with the Swiss Finello. In the series on the ground they then both missed a target, but the Italian, quicker to use the refill, took the lead. Thanks to a good pace on the skis Hofer gained a few seconds on the pursuers, and despite two errors standing, he changed to the first place. Behind Italy with a dozen seconds of delay transited Sweden 2a, Slovenia 3a and Austria 4a. Dominik Windisch started the third fraction regardless of tactics but, after finding the "zero" on the ground, in the second lap was reached by the pursuers. In the standing polygon the blue has been forced to use a refill, but it is still defended very well. Swede Stenersen took the lead at the time trial, but in the final round he was taken over and over by Windisch. In the third position, an excellent Slovenia has passed, just ahead of Norway and Austria. In the final fraction Thierry Chenal had to play a place on the podium with the Swedish Samuelsson, the Slovenian Drinovec, the Norwegian Christiansen and the Austrian Leitner. The blue, however, has struggled on both the skis and shooting, closing in 6th place. The victory went to Sweden. Samuelsson in fact in the final lap has contained the comeback of Christiansen, who paid on the finish line. In third position, however, Germany went up, dragged by Benedikt Doll, in a comeback from the 7th position.
