This was announced by the Norwegian national team coach Patrick Oberegger: "He needs more training to be at the top, so we have to wait a little longer".
Eckhoff had proved to be in great shape in the tests of Sjusjoen a couple of weeks ago, but in recent days has been hit by a seasonal illness. It is still unclear whether he will be able to recover in time for the Sprint on Saturday 8 December.
