Tyumen's women's starting line officially closed the 2017-18 biathlon World Cup.

Today's trial has given great emotions and the verdicts have been uncertain until the last one. In the end, two winners emerged: the winners of the day, Darya Domracheva and the overall World Cup standings, Kaisa Mäkäräinen. The latter has engaged a duel close from the first to the last meter with Anastasiya Kuzmina, which was solved only in the last meters in favor of the Finnish. The two, both with a passive three penalties, came out of the last polygon, but in the final round Mäkäräinen managed to detach the rival, finishing in 6th place. Kuzmina in the last hundreds of meters has gone into crisis and slipped to 11th place, which has foreclosed for only 3 points the conquest of the crystal ball.
The thirty-five of Ristijärvi has therefore won for the third time in his career the overall World Cup and moreover, benefiting from the 12th place of Laura Dahlmeier, has also won the specialty cup, overtaking the German, leading the ranking together with her before this race, of 9 lengths.
The day's victory went to Darya Domracheva, who managed to get back to Paulina Fialkova and Anais Chevalier in the last lap of the 13th, at the end of the last shooting session, the Belarusian made the difference in the final section and won the sixth win of the season, finishing third in the World Cup standings with 804 points, ahead of Dahlmeier 4a (730), Wierer 5a (681) and Vittozzi 6a (588).
Behind the Belarusian Paulina Fialkova 2a and Chevalier 3a, which in the end had to give ground to the rival. For the older Fialkova sisters it is the first podium in the World Cup career, previously the Slovak could boast the best result a 5th place. For the transalpine the seventh podium of the career has arrived, the second of this season finale.
Vanessa Hinz 4a left the race and finished the race ahead of her compatriot Preuss 5a, Mäkäräinen 6a, Eckhoff 7a, Karolin Horchler 8a, Tachizaki 9a and Frolina 10a.
Difficult day for the Azzurri, Dorothea Wierer in trouble on skis came 19a after missing a single target, Lisa Vittozzi with four penalties was placed 28th.
