In the first two fractions Birkeland and L''Abee-Lund have figured well and remained in the top positions, in the second change Norway has moved into the lead in the company of Italy and Germany. The 'mvp of the day was, however, Tarjei Bø that, with only one recharge used, has severely separated rivals, delivering to the younger brother a lead of 35 "on Russia, the first of the pursuing nations.In last fraction Johannes Thingnes Bø not he had no problem managing the margin and after two perfect polygons he went on the last lap in parade, celebrating with the public at the edge of the track.
The fight for the remaining positions on the podium was more uncertain, with Julian Eberhard and Anton Shipulin as protagonists. The Russian lost a few seconds in the last series, where he had to use a refill but he came out of the polygon with 16 "on the Austrian, but in the final round he entered the high gears and overtook him on the last climb .
Out of the podium Sweden preceded Germany 5th, France 6th, US 7th, Belarus 8th, Slovenia 9th and Czech Republic 10th. Eleventh place for Italy, at the end of the second fraction thanks to an excellent test by Lukas Hofer. Difficult race instead for Windisch who had to take the penalty round at the end of the standing polygon, losing some position. In the closing competition, the debutant Daniele Cappellari competed with no disfigures, making a single mistake in the last series.
Next week the biathlon World Cup will move to Russia, to Tyumen, for the final act.
