If one of Hochfilzen in 2017 is not the year of the most beautiful World Cup of all time, close enough. Even the women's mass start has given an endless succession of emotions, as well as yet another slew of historic results.

It goes without saying that the spoils of the Teutonic (5 gold and 1 silver) is better than that of Norway (4-2-0) and the French (3-2-1), however, "fermatesi" two individual titles. In addition to Laura stretches the sensational sequence of the world championship races finished on the podium. We are 8 individual and 11 overall considering the relay. Needless to say there is no precedent in the history of the discipline.
Dunklee could still celebrate a magnificent silver, which - by making a pair with the success of Lowell Bailey in the Men's 20 km - makes Hochfilzen 2017 triumph for the American movement. In the past, no US was on the podium of the World Cup at the individual level, but we should not forget how in 1984 the relay composed Julie Newman, Kari Swenson and Holly Beatie harpies bronze.
About bronze medals, than today went to Mäkäräinen! Nordic veteran, after the initial failure, no more wrong and has covered all the targets also the fourth polygon (where it is taken all the time necessary to achieve the zero). Then he became the protagonist of an impressive last lap, where it was able to crown his long comeback overtaking and pulling all opponents, including Koukalová, relegated to fourth. Dorin Habert has instead suffered in the final kilometers and has remained in seventh place, also beaten by Teja Gregorin and Yuliia Dzhima.
Eighth Dorothea Wierer, forced to take one penalty loop for each of the two polygons standing. The blue team leader finished just in front of Alexia Runggaldier and Lisa Vittozzi respectively ninth and eleventh with a clear round in a shot. Federica Sanfilippo has instead slipped to 21 th place finish because of the many errors in the foot (five in total).
The general classification of the World Cup, calculated net of scraps, increasingly sees Dahlmeier leader with 903 points. Koukalová is second, but now pays 82 lengths to yellow bib. Third Mäkäräinen to -170, which - in the race for third place - increases of Dorin Habert (-215).
With regard to the ranking of the mass start specialties, the red bib passes on the shoulders of Dahlmeier (222) in front of Koukalová (211). Mathematically offside all the others.
