The Italian also extended in the overall World Cup standings to Dorothea Wierer: "I knew I could do well in this race, I wanted to prove to myself that I could make it and I was focused from the beginning. It is my first world medal in an individual competition and above all my first specialty cup. I'm really happy, it's a wonderful day, I'll try to hold on to my yellow bib and not let the cup escape me. So far I have shown that I can stand up high, I will give it my all. Surely the polygons of last week have a bit 'destabilized, but so far I have always had very high percentages on the ground and I did not get conditioned. I tried to work as I can and today it went well ".
Wierer finished in 8th place after compromising his race in the second series, where he missed two targets: "I'm happy with my performance and having found a double zero on the ground. Too bad for the two errors in the second series, but we must accept them: the last one was far away. On skis I feel very good at the moment and I am still happy, now there are still three races and I will try to do my best. I am also happy for Lisa and for her zero mistakes, we know that she shoots very well. Good for "Italy".
