The transalpine couple has imposed itself in the final on Austria and Norway, excellent sixth place for Italy, in the race with Sanfilippo and Bormolini.

The race was very balanced and uncertain until the last one, the fight for the podium positions was decided only at the last polygon. In the end the victory went to France, which obtained the third statement in the format with the couple composed of Anais Chevalier and Antonin Guigonnat. The Frenchman entered the last series with 15 "of detachment from the Ukrainian Tyshchenko, leader at that time, but with a perfect polygon took the lead and in the final round contained the overwhelming comeback of Julian Eberhard and Johannes Thingnes Bø.
The second position went to Austria, in the race with Hauser and the same Eberhard who in the final meters managed to remove from the queues the Norwegian, third on the finish line despite the non-brilliant test of Marte Olsbu, forced to make a lap of penalty in the third fraction.
Just off the podium Ukraine 4th, fifth instead of Russia, sixth Italy with the couple Sanfilippo-Bormolini, remained in the top positions for almost the entire race. Canada 7th, Japan 8th, Kazakhstan 9th and Sweden 10th entered the top 10. Pretty disappointing race for Germany that closed only 11th.
At 4.45 pm the mixed relay will take off, Italy will be competing with the same quartet that got the bronze at Pyeongchang.
