Rossignol says goodbye to his great patron: Laurent Boix-Vives has disappeared at 93

For half a century he was the president of the historic French brand, brought to very high levels.

Rossignol and the world of skiing mourn a figure who has done so much for the movement. We are talking about Laurent Boix-Vives, historic number 1 of the transalpine company that he led from 1956 until 2005. At the age of 93, he passed away on Thursday: “Laurent Boix-Vives wrote one of the most beautiful entrepreneurial pages of the twentieth century - Rossignol communicated through the current president and CEO of the group, Bruno Cercley - E '' was able to popularize the practice of winter sports in France and worldwide. Deeply human, attentive, demanding and always kind, he has been able to convey his sense of detail to us. We lose a symbol, a mentor and a friend ". At just 29 years of age, the French executive (at the same time as a key player in the development of the Courchevel ski resort) acquired the Rossignol brand in 1956, not even fifty years after its birth (in 1907), making it the world leader over the decades later.
