Biography: Matteo Bendotti (ITA, born 2001) is a slalom and giant-slalom racer from Bergamo who came through the Radici Group ski club and now competes for the Fiamme Oro. He has stood out on the FIS circuit with wins and podiums, including victory in the NC slalom at Kronplatz in 2020 and several runner-up finishes in FIS slaloms such as Glungezer in 2024. In the 2023/24 season he made his World Cup debut in the Bansko giant slalom and secured a place in Italy’s European Cup technical squad. In November 2024 he suffered a serious right-knee injury (cruciate ligament and meniscus) during training in Val Senales, but is still regarded as one of the most promising prospects in the Italian technical team once fully recovered.
