Biography: Lukas Feurstein is one of the most exciting new names in Austrian skiing, specializing in super G and giant slalom. Born in 2001 and raised in Mellau, he stood out at junior level by winning two medals at the 2019 European Youth Olympic Festival in Sarajevo and taking giant slalom gold and super G silver at the 2021 Junior World Championships in Bansko. He made his World Cup debut in 2021 and earned his first victory in the super G at the 2025 finals in Sun Valley, delivering Austria s first men s speed win of the season. His skiing blends solid technique, smart line choice and bravery on the fastest sections of the hill.
