Daniel Meier

Biography: Daniel Meier is a former Austrian alpine skier who specialized in the technical disciplines, particularly giant slalom. Born in 1993 in the Vorarlberg region, he built his career through FIS and Europa Cup racing, earning several strong results that eventually gave him access to the World Cup, where his best performances also came in giant slalom. Meier was known for a very clean style and for his ability to handle demanding, technical courses, qualities that allowed him to remain a factor on the continental circuits for many seasons. After retiring from top-level competition he has kept a close connection to skiing, carrying the experience gained at the highest level into new roles.
