Biography: Stefano Anzi, born on May 21, 1949 in Bormio, was one of Italy’s downhill pioneers and part of the Valanga Azzurra. Famous for his 1974 Kitzbühel shared second place with Herbert Plank, he earned many strong World Cup results. After retiring he worked in tourism promotion and alpine event organization.
