Biography: Hannes Zehentner, born in 1965 in Rosenheim, was a German speed specialist in downhill and super-G during the 1980s and early 1990s. He competed at the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics, finishing 13th in downhill and 22nd in the Alpine combined, and scored World Cup points on several occasions. At national level he captured the German downhill title, confirming himself as one of the country’s leading speed racers. After his racing career he stayed involved in mountain and outdoor sports.
