“A perfect training”. This is how Livio Magoni defined it, at the end of the four days of work that saw Petra Vlhova, as he had done in the pre parallel of Lech, engaged on the snows of Plan de Gralba.
In the shadow of the Sassolungo, in the heart of Val Gardena, the Slovak champion has prepared the first two seasonal appointments with speed, to which she will arrive as a World Cup leader and with the will to take other important points, albeit running in defense against rivals more accustomed to a discipline like the super-g, among other things thinking about how complicated the Sankt Moritz track is.
For the races on Saturday and Sunday, Magoni himself says clearly: “We go without any goal, it's a track that Petra has never done and ... I'd be happy with two top 20”. Of course, Vlhova's quality is indisputable also from a speed perspective, looking at the progress made in the last season, just think of 4th place in the last super-g in La Thuile. It is equally true that Sankt Moritz is a particular track and the technician from Bergamo knows well how necessary it is or not to push to the limit.
Today the move to the Upper Engadine resort, after greeting and thanking once again Igor Marzola and the Emilio Comici Refuge for the hospitality and organization: "Everything went well, with training and material tests of quality, thanks also to the support of Peter Runggaldier ”, explains Magoni, with the same daughter of the legendary“ Runghi ”, the young Teresa, who had the opportunity to train with Petra and give support.
