Third career success in the continental circuit for the 25-year-old Scandinavian, struggling in the CdM. On the podium the rebirth of Rast and Frasse-Sombet, with three blue in the top 15 after a difficult first heat. And Monday is replicated.

Andalo speaks Norwegian again, as happened in the first of the two giants last year when Mars Monsen won.
It is Mina Fuerst Holtmann who conquers the first round of the European Cup on the slopes of Paganella; Olimpionica 2, perhaps the most demanding track on the circuit as regards the challenge between wide doors, was tamed by the 25-year-old Scandinavian, already in command after the first heat in which she was derailed, starting with bib number 1, the great favorite Maryna Gasienica-Daniel.
And so the road was paved for Holtmann, much in difficulty (compared to the great expectations after the splendid last season) in the first giants of the World Cup, as well as for Hippach in the two CE races in the middle of the week. The second round of the Norwegian was also very solid, to conquer the third success in her career (also in Italy, since the first two had arrived last February in the giants of Folgaria) with 59 cents ahead of Camille Rast, who signs a beautiful return to the top after many injuries. Behind the junior slalom champion (in Are in 2017) there is another athlete who has been sailing for years in CdM, the French Coralie Frasse-Sombet third with a second round of detachment.
Far more distant Kaja Norbye (second of the Norwegians) and Elisa Moerzinger, who won the second giant of Andalo a year ago, while all the regrets are of Zrinka Ljutic, the Croatian 2004 class who had already been able to hoist herself in fifth place at the end of the first heat (with the number 24), and then let loose in the first part of the second and mortgage at least one podium that seemed very close, before derailing. It will arrive, perhaps as early as Monday in the second giant ...
For Scolari's Italy the first heat had been really complicated, much better went in the second with three top 15 places brought home: the best was Luisa Bertani, with the Milanese in a great comeback from 25th place and in the end 12th, just ahead of Karoline Pichler who finds good points in the European Cup. Great pity for Roberta Melesi, out in the first after the two top ten of Hippach, partially smile Midali (15th), Insam (19th, excellent result for her in giant), definitely less Cillara Rossi who closes 23rd and still appears in difficulty, with the Ligurian who was still starting in the first group.
Finally, some points also for young people like Carlotta Saracco and Elena Sandulli, respectively 25th and 26th.
