Skiweltcup.tv: Andrea, the Olympic Winter Games Vancouver 2010 she surprised everyone by winning the gold medal in the Super-G, but failed then to get more results. What lessons have you learned from the recent past?
Andrea Fischbacher: "I learned a lot in recent years, the ups and downs are simply part of the sport. An athlete should always somehow" listen to your body "and, at times, have also courage to take a little break and then come back with more motivation than before and the head free as possible. Ahead of the new winter, I simply look at every single race, but certainly I would like to get back to winning as I did in the past. "
Skiweltcup.tv: A tip for parents who want to take the kids to ski, but already a nuanced ... ambition as a champion for their son, which she has started early with skiing?
Andrea Fischbacher: "I'm just saying that the fun should be the priority for every child, then the rest comes by itself ...".
skiweltcup.tv: The speed disciplines in particular, the races are often decided by a few hundredths of a second. How important is mental strength in skiing and how you can somehow "train" the best? There is a "secret recipe"?
Andrea Fischbacher: "Mental strength is very important in our sport. As for the rest, if I were to tell you my secret recipe, it would not be so secret ... (laughs)."
skiweltcup.tv: What are the main features that should be a skier to express itself at the highest level?
Andrea Fischbacher: "Talent, ambition, skill requirements are important, but all these elements must match to go fast. Moreover, it takes mental strength, self-confidence, health, materials, height and even a little 'luck. "
Skiweltcup.tv: How is your training?
Andrea Fischbacher: "I am currently in La Parva, Chile, with the companions of speed. We are focusing on downhill and super-G, but do not overlook the giant, always important as a basis for each discipline. Everything is going well."
