Blue in difficulty in Garmisch, in the 2nd round leads Miradoli and Austria rises in tone

It will not be an easy race, at least when it comes to the descent, as it will be another story for Sunday's super-g. The blue team, without Sofia Goggia, seems definitely in trouble on the snows of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, the scene of the last weekend of speed in CdM before the Olympic Games. The second and last test on Kandahar does not see any Italians in the 15, in a training shortened by about twenty seconds due to strong winds in the upper part and with Romane Miradoli in front of all, 24 hours from the sixth seasonal descent scheduled for Saturday at 11.30 . The Frenchwoman, already very fast yesterday in the most technical section, preceded Mirjam Puchner by 21 cents, before an Austrian team today much more brilliant and with Huetter fourth (+ 0 "45), just behind Corinne Suter who pushes only in the final stretch, but it probably remains the number 1 favorite. Kira Weidle, second in the 1st round behind the Swiss, is fifth at 54 cents from Miradoli, with Gauche, Flury, Jasmina Suter, Tippler and Gagnon completing the top ten enclosed in eight tenths. Siebenhofer is only 16th (at 1 ”38), but fast until the stretch of hell, with Nadia Delago who is also the best Italian today, but 19th with a gap of 1” 48. Beyond the 25th position Elena Curtoni and Nicol Delago (respectively at 2 "15 and 2" 20), out of the thirty Marsaglia (2 "64), Pichler (3" 00) and Melesi (3 "14), with Brignone today in the pits as a precaution. In fact, the FISI confirmed that the Aosta Valley was stopped by a slight indisposition accused during the night, unless there are surprises she will still be regularly at the gate for the race weekend.
