After the opening in Soelden, to see the female giant's protagonists in action (and a Marta Bassino with the specialty leader's red bib) we will have to wait until the weekend of 12-13 December, when Courchevel should host a double giant on that track, the Stade Emile-Allais, which last year saw Federica Brignone triumph for the first time in the Savoyard town.
It is good to use the conditional again, as only on Monday 16 November, as reported by the Ski Chrono portal, the FIS will be able to give the ok to the organization of the French stage inserted in the middle of the Val d''Isère, who received the go-ahead in the day from the international federation.
There is confidence that the necessary protocol, with all the anti Covid measures in the middle of the lockdown on French territory (currently in force until next December 1), will be accepted also because there is full availability on the part of the hoteliers to welcome the hundreds of people following the white circus. Finally, the snow theme: not that there is plenty of it in Courchevel, less than a month before the races, but everything is ready to produce artificial snow from next week, with the expected cold wave, as well as testing the new lighting system that they will be used for morning reconnaissance. The times of the two giants, in fact, are set at 9.30 for the first heat and at 12.30 for the second, both on Saturday and Sunday of competition.
