In three within 14 cents and with two blue behind Mikaela Shiffrin, while Petra Vlhova is already out of the game.
In a nutshell, this is the first run of the giant number 2 from Courchevel, postponed by 24 hours and raced in exceptional snow conditions, on a fast and treacherous track like the one set down by Alois Prenn. The leader of the general classification of the World Cup paid the price, sensationally coming out on the final bump (when she was in any case over half a second late) who, just before her, had already excluded Alice Robinson from the second heat.
In front of all, in view of the second heat scheduled at 13.00, there is Mikaela Shiffrin, able to move up again after the 4th place last Saturday; Marta Bassino and Federica Brignone, however, are perfectly on the launching pad to try to bring home what would be the third Italian triumph in as many seasonal specialty races.
The Cuneo woman, with the red bib, is just 7 cents behind the American, Fede at 14 and with a margin on fourth place, given that Stephanie Brunner (who confirms herself as a really nice return for the Tyrolean) pays a gap of 7 tenths.
