Among the athletes mocked by the cancellation of the super-g of Sankt Moritz, even if on that track she suffered a lot in the only race of December 2019, there is obviously also Ester Ledecka, expected at her debut in speed in a World Cup. A world of skiing that the two Olympic champion had started since Soelden, getting the first points in the giant, then also passing through the parallel of Lech / Zuers (where she did not pass the qualifications). The 25-year-old from Prague is aiming decisively at the crystal balls between super-g and, above all, the descent where last year she was preceded in the final classification only by Corinne Suter; at the same time, however, also in this winter 2020/21 the choice is to continue the calendar of the parallel snowboard CdM, also taking advantage of a smaller number of stages and some movements due to the Covid situation (such as the opening of Bannoye , passed from the first weekend of December to February). The first competition of the new season on the table, or the PGS scheduled in Cortina d''Ampezzo on Saturday 12 December, coincides with the giants scheduled in Courchevel; today, Ledecka announced that the choice, quite obvious in this case given that the Czech does not have too many ambitions among the wide doors on skis, has turned to the Italian snowboard appointment, scheduled on the splendid Tondi di Faloria. The story for the following stages should be quite different, since Ester does not want to miss what at this point will be the speed opening, on the "Oreiller-Killy" in Val d''Isère, an ideal track for its characteristics and where last year he only took part in the tests, as the races were canceled. From 18 to 20, double descent and then super-g will almost certainly be preferred to the PGS snowboard program scheduled for Thursday 17 December (day of the last test in France) in Carezza.
