Federica Brignone won in Zauchensee in combined two seasons ago, but above all today she leveled up with a good 12th time trial and looks in particular at the super-g on Sunday: "I feel better, all the recovery I did helped me and skiing I have zero problems. The test went well, in the corners in the middle of the track I am fast, while on the flat I pay a lot because I saw wind and it didn't come as I wanted. The dream since I was a child was to participate in all races, now three weeks of competition await us, among other things on tracks that I really like such as Kronplatz and Garmisch. We hope to have the same conditions and then we will think of Beijing, this month I am focused exclusively on the World Cup ”.
Nadia Delago can also dream of the podium area, today again very fast with the fourth fastest time. “I try to improve race after race, the results of the last few weeks have given me further confidence in my means; this is a track that suits my characteristics quite well, I will try to take advantage of the opportunity ”.
“We did two good tests to find the right measures - adds sister Nicol - It is a track that I really like (here he was second in 2020, his last podium in the cup) and I can't wait to compete. There are steps to take with your head, but then you have to give up and feel good on skis. The form is coming slowly, I am aware that I still have to work a lot to aim for the very first positions ".
Finally Elena Curtoni: “I leave again after a few weekends dedicated to the giant where I struggled a bit to collect results, however it was useful to find the right feeling in the supergiant. Downhill I still have to improve something, I just have to do what I am capable of and I will find the right path. I care about all disciplines, so far the best results have come in super-g, while downhill I have to approach the race in the same way and I'm sure something good will come between now and the end of the season ”.
