The super-g of Val d''Isère is all blue: Goggia triumphs again, only Mowinckel prevents the hat-trick

For the first time in this discipline, Italjet just a stone's throw from 1-2-3, with the Norwegian forcing Curtoni to third place and Brignone (one cent from his teammate) to fourth ahead of Shiffrin. Sofia is more and more leader of specialties and of the general, now to 16 victories in the World Cup as Deborah Compagnoni.

Another super-g all blue, with the Italjet girls who never stop and also win Val d''Isere, in a dream race after yesterday's downhill victory signed by Sofia Goggia. The Bergamo rider wins again, dominating in the very fast final stretch of the Oreiller-Killy, but just over half a second there are them, Elena Curtoni, third, and Federica Brignone fourth, one cent from the Valtellina, with only Ragnhild Mowinckel to prevent, entering in second place at 33 cents from the top (what a rebirth for the Norwegian after a thousand physical problems, very good), a hat-trick never seen in the discipline. A little less than two years after the descent of Bansko 2020 won by Elena Curtoni, we came within a whisker of 1-2-3, but what a journey for this national team dragged by a frightening Goggia, the fifth seal of the season, the second in super-g and 16th overall in his career, equal to Deborah Compagnoni and -1 from Brignone. More and more leaders of the World Cup (and of discipline in both fast specialties), with Mikaela Shiffrin who drops 55 points (now she is -65 from Sofia), but is still there in fifth place, with a gap of 75 cents, at the his absolute debut in Val d''Isère, without having competed in trials and descents. In Courchevel, in the giants on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, it will be fun ... After triumphing last Sunday in Sankt Moritz, the best in the more technical sections of the "OK" was Federica Brignone, ahead of Goggia by 34 cents up to the Bosse Emile, but the winner of the 2020 cup paid a lot in the final ... "Straight", closing just off the podium by a whisker. Behind Shiffrin, in sixth position like yesterday in the downhill but giving a much better impression, we find Corinne Suter (82 cents from Goggia), then Tamara Tippler best Austrian in the standings, 7 ^ a + 0 "92 ahead of compatriot Cornelia Huetter (more than positive his race), followed by Breezy Johnson who still improves his best in super-g, not just beyond the second behind.
