Indeed, La Thuile and Sestriere will again host the Women's World Cup in the winter of 2019/2020 and, in these days, the usual inspections of the international federation have given positive results.
Together with the managers of FISI, Infront and the Organizing Committee for the Valle d'Aosta competitions, scheduled in La Thuile on February 29th and March 1st 2020, with a super-g and a combined four years after the last time, on the 3rd Franco Berthod went on stage today, in the presence of the new FIS Chief Race Director, the Tarvisian Peter Gerdol.
The starting points of the two disciplines were defined and the safety conditions of the famous track that has already hosted the white circus in 2016 were verified; the inspection also concerned the new and larger finish area, and the work carried out in recent months was important, with the grandstand area leveled and expanded, making everything even more spacious.
The executive producer of Infront Sports & Media, Franco Scotton, with the director Infront Sandro De Manincor and the other men of the production company, focused on the positioning of the platforms and cameras that will resume the race and broadcast the images throughout the world. Workstations that change from the past, precisely because it will be necessary to take back over the super-g, also the slalom race valid for the combined that will always be staged on the 3 Franco Berthod, already renamed the “Italian Kitzbuehelâ€.
Previously, the FIS delegates led by Gerdol, had inspected the slopes of Sestriere in view of the appointment that will return to the hill on 18-19 January 2020, with a giant and parallel programmed on the "Kandahar G.A. Agnelli ".
