The Italsci also recovers Federica Sosio: on skis at the Stelvio, seven months after the drama of Garmisch

Just a few hours and Federica Sosio will finally put her skis and boots back on, exactly seven months after the very serious injury suffered by the 25-year-old Valtellina, during the descent of Garmisch-Partenkirchen (not without controversy for a track considered dangerous and with many interruptions during the race). That January 27 will seem a little further away, at a time when the promising downhill skier will start again on the Stelvio snows on Wednesday morning (where he will remain until Sunday September 1); the biossea fracture of the tibia and fibula of the left leg, injury in some ways similar to that of the teammate Hanna Schnarf 70 days earlier (with the 34-year-old Valdaora back on track just a few days ago), complicated to manage and will certainly require still a long time for the unfortunate Federica, back in the pits after a return, during the past season, which seemed to promise very well. The technicians Giuseppe Butelli, Ruggero Muzzarelli, Daniel Dorigo and Damiano Scolari, already present on the glacier to work with the women's group of the European Cup, will monitor the work of Sosio who, at least initially, will devote himself to a proprioceptive and stabilization phase on skis.
