Biography: Federica Sosio, born on July 24, 1994 in Sondalo, was an Italian speed specialist. She won super-G gold at the 2015 Junior World Championships in Hafjell, emerging as one of Italy’s brightest prospects. On the World Cup circuit she achieved several top-30 results in downhill and super-G as a regular member of the speed team. Her skiing was powerful, aggressive and very effective on technical courses. A series of injuries curtailed her career. After retiring she moved on to new projects while staying connected to sport.
