A complicated start and two more recoveries to be placed on the calendar, for the women's European Cup which had already seen one of the two giants of last week in Mayrhofen canceled, and today saw Zinal's first super-g not being able to go on stage for the difficult weather conditions in the Swiss resort.
The first speed race of the season for the continental circuit in pink, after the men had played two races in Zinal with the blue victories of Matteo Franzoso and Giovanni Franzoni, is skipped and we will try to play at least one on Thursday, always at 10.00 am as already foreseen in the calendar.
Many Italians from the "B" team of multipurpose teams were enrolled in today's super-g, from Teresa Runggaldier to Monica Zanoner, as well as Elena Dolmen (who would start with No. 2), Ilaria Ghisalberti, Vittoria Cappellini, Giulia Albano, Carlotta Da Canal , Sofia Pizzato, the returning Verena Gasslitter, Heloise Edifizi, Elisa Schranzhofer, Carlotta Welf and Alice Calaba.
In addition, Jasmina Suter and other top Swiss athletes such as the Austrians Ager and Reisinger would also participate in preparation for the World Cup super-gs scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Sankt Moritz.
After Zinal, the women's European Cup will land in Italy, for the classic two days of Andalo with the splendid giants in Paganella, on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 December.
