Alpine Skiingwomen's world cup
The multipurpose class of 1994 is training in Fonna and, right in the opening of 2019, she obtained the best result of her career. He is broadening his horizons from slalom to super-g and ... he's not afraid of anything.

They lost Nina Haver-Loeseth, who decided to retire (a bit surprisingly) at the end of last season, and gave up for a whole year to a champion like Ragnhild Mowinckel, not to mention the farewell to the competition also of Maren Skjoeld, after the decision to exclude her from the national cadres.
Considering that the movement is not very rich in numerical terms at the top of the women's sector, while among men new World Cup talents have already exploded, Norway in the squad has clung in speed to Kajsa Vickhoff Lie and, in the technical disciplines, to Kristin Lysdahl, Thea Louise Stjernesund, but above all to Mina Fuerst Holtmann who, after the 4th place in the giant of Soelden, came close to the first success in the maximum circuit in Courchevel, reassembled for only 4 cents by Federica Brignone.
In the October 2019 opening on Rettenbach, however, Maria Therese Tviberg was just behind her teammate, able to obtain the best result of her career with the 6th place finish; the multi-purpose class' '94 is a skier yet to be discovered and in these days she has resumed training on the Fonna glacier (where the men are also working), a couple of months after the first approach in June.
Who knows that the advance of the inaugural giant of the next World Cup, scheduled for October 17 in the Oetztal area, will not be able to further load a Tviberg which, up to last year's giant in Soelden, had as its best result in CdM a 10th place combined in Crans-Montana, in February 2017, just before the long stop (over a year) for the crusader crash suffered in the first stage of the descent of Lake Louise, on November 28th 2017. The same injury that the 'had already stopped in spring 2015, delaying the explosion of a talent that had already emerged at the junior world championships.
A true polyvalent that, in the 2019/2020 season, alternating the giants of the World Cup with the commitments in several disciplines in the European Cup, from the slalom, where it played the last races of the year with the tests in Bad Wiessee, up to the super -g (she finished 5th at the end of the season in Val Sarentino), has shown that she has a high level potential, especially in "her" giant where, in addition to 6th place in Soelden, she finished eighth in Courchevel before having a decline between January and February. Attention, however, because in the opening scheduled now in just over two months it could surprise you, also considering its characteristics that are well suited to a track like that of Rettenbach.
