All prepared, in the spectral climate of Narvik who chose to compete the athletes behind closed doors, for the first time in this edition of the junior world championships, for the possible Swedish triumph to break the Austrian domination and the tri champion of the world Magdalena Egger.
In fact, the Scandinavians dominate the first round of the world champion female giant, with Sara Rask (winner of the European Cup of specialties) who commands for her; the Swedish class 2000 precedes the Norwegian Kaja Norbye by 29 cents, while compatriots Aronsson and Loevblom follow at 37 and 44 cents respectively.
Two of the big favorites were quite late, the French Escane and the Norwegian Monsen over a second, in tenth and eleventh position, while Egger herself (starting with bib number 31 and with a track already quite ruined) is 16th in the middle of the race, but with well 1 "78 to be recovered in Rask.
There were no great expectations in Italy, but the blue ones are really far ahead of the second race scheduled at 13.30: Ilaria Ghisalberti is the best, 23rd at 2 "51, then here is Sara Allemand 26th at 3" 09 and Giulia Albano
