Marta Rossetti is already empty in the first round of the European Cup slalom in Hasliberg

The Garda has now unlocked after the victory in Zell am See: Marta leads halfway through the race with almost half a second on Stoffel, then the usual Hilzinger. Peterlini is fourth, Della Mea out.

It's an amazing Marta Rossetti, the one that dominates the first round of the fifth women's slalom of the European Cup season, the first of the two scheduled (today and tomorrow) on the Swiss snow of Hasliberg. The test in the Canton of Bern sees the Garda class from '99 literally make the void halfway through the race, to go in search of what would be the second victory on the continental circuit after the pearl of Zell am See: the young Italian in fact commands with 45 cents on the Swiss Elena Stoffel, already beaten by Marta in Austria, and 53 on the usual Jessica Hilzinger, leader of the specialty ranking right in front of Rossetti. And in fourth position there is Martina Peterlini, very close (7 cents) to what would be her first podium, but also attacked by the German Filser, fifth with 64 cents of detachment. The regret is instead linked to Lara Della Mea, back from two consecutive podiums and out in a first that has seen the other blue very distant (with decidedly high bibs), with the exits among others of Midali, Gulli, Unterholzner and Viviani. Second race scheduled at 1.30 pm.
