The second podium of the season in the European Cup, the sixth of her career, and the season of Roberta Melesi, who has grown a lot even at the World Cup level, ends in the best way in Reiteralm. The giant of the finals of the continental circuit sees the 24-year-old from Lecco finish in third position (she was fourth at the end of the 1st heat), beaten only by an amazing Mars Monsen, who dominates the scene as for most of this year, and by Simone Wild , second at 71 cents from the Norwegian. The blue climbs on the podium, 1 ”07 away from the winner, with six hundredths of a margin over the Swedish Aronsson, while the very young Canadian (born in 2003) Richardson makes a comeback up to an amazing fifth position. Second already last month in Berchtesgaden on the day of Roberta Midali's triumph, for Melesi it is an important result also because it allows her to close in the top ten in the final giant ranking, where we also find Midali herself, eighth, and Karoline Pichler ninth. Of course, the permanent position for the next season of CdM does not arrive, but important signs are coming in view of the future. Pichler's rebirth had already been evident in recent weeks, with the South Tyrolean today eighth in the final giant, while Midali finished 13th ahead of Bertani (15th), with the same Ghisalberti (23rd), Zenere (25th) and Laura Pirovano (26th), back in the European Cup before competing in the Absolutes of Livigno, in the points. For Marte Monsen, on the other hand, the victory in the specialty cup arrives, with the fixed place also conquered by Wild and the Swedish Loevblom, but the Norwegian also leaps to the top of the general classification of the European Cup, when only the final slalom on Sunday is missing, with the Slovenian Andreja Slokar (now 8th in the CdM slalom in Lenzerheide) who is at -32 and is the only one able to remove the trophy from Monsen herself.
