No Crans-Montana for Viktoria Rebensburg. Season over for Anne-Sophie Barthet

A little bit surprisingly Viktoria Rebensburg decided to skip the super-G and of course also the combined, but multiple races never completed the World Cup.

The 28-year-old German, who came back from the PyeongChang Games finishing fourth in giant, ninth downhill and tenth in super-G, prefers to concentrate on the last two giant races, whose leaderboard is a leader with 32 points ahead of French Tessa Worley and 81 on the US Mikaela Shiffrin, the only ones that can still undermine it. The first of these two races between the wide doors is scheduled on Friday 9 March in Ofterschwang and has just been confirmed by the FIS along with the slalom the day after following the positive control of today's snow. Meanwhile, the Frenchwoman Anne-Sophie Barthet injured her right ankle six days ago, 24 hours before her thirtieth birthday, in the pre-combined Olympic women's warm-up in Yongpyong. It was feared a very serious injury, but fortunately the magnetic resonance which has undergone in Lyon the athlete of Courchevel has not shown damage to the ligaments. Barthet only suffered a minor fracture, she announced on Instagram. Of course his season ends here but the recovery times will be much faster than what was feared.
