Crans Montana is a famous ski resort in the Valais canton, which boasts 140 km of alpine ski slopes and over 200 for snowboarding and cross country skiing. It has hosted several competitions of the World Cup, but is best remembered for the 1987 edition of the World, shockingly dominated by the Swiss hosts, the medal winners with 8 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals in 10 races.

No woman has been able to repeat itself and nothing is ever to climb more than once on the podium because of past years between one race and another.
