World Cup rankings after the Lake Louise triptych: Goggia has only 86 points and risks a "dangerous" bib in Sankt Moritz.

The Lake Louise super-g has closed the women's speed triptych in Canada, with the next stop in Sankt Moritz which, as early as Saturday, December 14th, will include the second of only seven tests in this discipline. The Canadian race saw many "newcomers" at these levels, both for Nicol Delago, second, and for Corinne Suter, third, the Sunday podium was the first podium in the specialty, as well as for Mirjam Puchner (fifth) the best of the career. Suter was certainly the most consistent woman of the weekend, with a 2nd, a 5th and a 3rd place that is worth the third place in the World Cup overall with 185 points, like Michelle Gisin and behind Viktoria Rebensburg, now second at 237 points from Mikaela Shiffrin. The US has collected only 26 points in the super-g, but it clearly commands a ranking that sees Federica Brignone in an excellent position, sixth at 161; in a blue light, the most eagerly awaited woman in super-g must recover a lot of ground, that is Sofia Goggia returning from the "zero" at the beginning, but also to play for the podium in the general. For the Bergamo, observing the WCSL specialty, there is a risk thinking about the Sankt Moritz race: Sofia has come out of the 10 best in the specialty and, even with the absence of the injured Mowinckel, she is 11th and therefore inserted in the draw of the even numbers, from 2 to 20. Actually, it was also good considering that the tenth place (to Ilka Stuhec's prerogative, still in difficulty) would, almost certainly, mean "catching" the number 1, definitely dangerous. There are no less than six blue women who could leave for the next Corviglia test: besides Goggia, there is obviously Brignone who is 8th in WCSL (virtually seventh), Johanna Schnarf waiting to return and 14th, Francesca Marsaglia 16th, Nicol Delago entered in the 20th place on a par with Nadia Fanchini, currently on maternity leave, and finally Elena Curtoni who, from the 23rd place, will start again with an even number by 8pm thanks to some absence.
