The American, as expected, will focus on the technical races of Courchevel and Lienz. Lara al Blick: "I was lucky, I have pain in my left shoulder but in a few days it will get better".

It is already time to think about the speed weekend in Val d''Isère, for a women's World Cup that will take place on the "Oreiller-Killy", on Saturday 18 with the descent (tests on Thursday and Friday) and on Sunday 19 with the super-g, the sixth and seventh consecutive speed races after Lake Louise and Sankt Moritz.
If the blues have chosen Sestriere for a couple of days of training, Mikaela Shiffrin will breathe a little, after the tour de force between Levi, Killington and the last five challenges between Canada and Switzerland (she was the only athlete to compete the whole block of the last four race weekends), and will therefore miss the races on the "OK" as in previous years, to concentrate on the giant of Courchevel on 21 and 22 December and on the other two technical races of Lienz, on 28 and on the 29th of the month.
Instead, we will see regularly in Haute-Savoie, as confirmed by the direct interest in the “Blick”, Lara Gut-Behrami. Confidence had already leaked from Swiss-Ski about the consequences of Sunday's super-g flight in Sankt Moritz, but the Ticino-born had not yet issued official statements after returning to her home in Genoa to live a couple of quiet days with her husband Valon . Wednesday Lara will head towards Val d''Isère: "Given the circumstances, I'm fine - the words of the super-g and giant world champion - Overall I was lucky: I have some bruises on the upper part of the body and pain in the left shoulder, but it's not that bad.
It will take a few days before I can move again without pain, but I am confident that over the weekend I will be at the start without any major problems ”.
The fall in that passage so discussed? The champion from Comano is frank, as always: "In super-g you push to your limit, on Sunday the wind was an extra factor and the situation was difficult, but it is part of this discipline and I like it like that".
