The two-time giant world champion confessed to Ski Chrono: "We have to change our habits, both in terms of training and in terms of anti-Covid regulations".

She is one of the few queens of the '89 class that we will still see in the 2020/21 season, after the retirement of three champions such as Viktoria Rebensburg, Anna Veith and Tina Weirather, and she has every intention to put the problems aside last year, when knee problems heavily conditioned her, forcing her to undergo surgery at the beginning of January.
Tessa Worley seems to be in excellent shape, during the long block on the snow she is carrying out, and will be like this until next September 19th, on the Zermatt glacier; to her colleagues at Ski Chrono, the gigantist from Le Grand Bornand talked about various themes, first and foremost the change linked to training. “Certainly the habits are no longer the same, but in some ways a variation doesn't hurt, with a single block on the Alps instead of the usual trip to Ushuaia. Here, too, we can train on multiple disciplines, including speed, but it's good not to get in shape too early. I still don't feel close to the top ”.
Before each meeting with the transalpine national team, the protocol provides for a PCR test: “It is right to respect all the anti Covid regulations, it is reassuring to know that you are in a safe bubble. Sure, it's also heavy, but it will be like this all winter before each race. Again, it's just a matter of getting used to it ”.
On the 2020/21 World Cup calendar, still uncertain for many stages, Worley asks “answers and greater certainties as I believe any athlete. We do not know what will happen after Soelden, which for now is the only goal on which to prepare. It is not easy to approach the appointments without knowing what will be in the following weeks, but we just hope to be able to play as many races as possible. And in maximum safety for everyone ".
