We are in the heart of an open World Cup like never before at a women's level and it is also interesting to note the different programs of some of the great protagonists of the circuit.
On Monday, for example, there was the possibility for some national teams (Switzerland, France, Sweden, Canada and the United States) to train on the track that will host the next cup giant: we are obviously talking about the "Erta" of San Vigilio di Marebbe, with the great challenge between the wide doors scheduled for Tuesday 26 January which was officially confirmed yesterday by the FIS after the traditional snow check.
They found excellent snow conditions Mikaela Shiffrin, who won the very last giant played at Kronplatz two years ago, and Tessa Worley herself (second here twice) or Wendy Holdener, in the training that did not see the blue, simply because in the program that will lead to the next speed races in Crans-Montana, it is also necessary to find a "window" for a very short recovery period, so much so that Bassino, Brignone and Goggia had already returned home on Sunday evening and this afternoon waited in the Canton of Valais, in view of the first test of the descent on Wednesday.
Worley, for example, will then train in Bardonecchia between Thursday and Friday before playing only the super-g on Sunday in Crans-Montana and betting everything on the South Tyrolean giant expected in a week, which will also be the main goal of Mikaela Shiffrin .
