The Swiss champion will no longer have a personal coach. And Gigi Parravicini lands in Switzerland.

In the national team of reference of the white circus, considering that it has been able to beat Austria in the last two seasons as well, we are working on the details of the various staff after announcing the teams for the 2021/22 season.
At Swiss-Ski the arrival of Gigi Parravicini is also expected, skiman who has won everything in recent years with Petra Vlhova, in the staff led by Livio Magoni; for the expert from Bergamo a work with the women's A team, probably dedicated to one between Michelle Gisin and Jasmine Flury.
Intercepted by the “Blick”, meanwhile, Wendy Holdener has confirmed that, from the Olympic year, she will return to train full time with the national team; no personal technician, after the early farewell (before the Cortina World Cup) with the Austrian Klaus Mayrhofer, who had worked very well in previous years with Werner Zurbuchen.
Wendy, who ended her season prematurely (not too lucky, even if in the end three podiums in slalom arrived, but without world championship medals after the "feast" between Sankt Moritz 2017 and Are 2019) with the positive Covid emerged at the finals in Lenzerheide, she got on particularly well with Alois Prenn, the South Tyrolean coach who is in charge of the technical disciplines, and Christian Brill, or those who have already followed her after the farewell to Mayrhofer. “I'm happy to be able to work with people of this skill, last winter I had a lot of problems and I'm happy with this solution”, explained Holdener, led on this new path by Beat Tschuor.
And Swiss-Ski's alpine skiing director, Walter Reusser, added: "The base is now much wider and, if Wendy needs special training over the course of the season, we will find a solution."
If the main candidates for the World Cup now work constantly with a private team or very small groups (as in the case of the blue), for Holdener, who has already climbed to the podium of the general twice (2nd in 2018, 3rd in 2019 , always behind Shiffrin), the choice was to take a step back. Not necessarily a "relegation", on the contrary it could be an important key to find an athlete of the highest level at the top.
