The first of two very important tests, considering that the inaugural approach to “Vertigo” was only the one experienced today with the “crazy” super-g who opened the world championships in Cortina.
Sunday will be men's down time and tomorrow, starting at 10.30, here is the first training opened by France with Clarey and Muzaton. Low numbers also for Christof Innerhofer and Dominik Paris, respectively with bibs 3 and 5, in a blue team that will see an internal selection for third and fourth place in view of the race. From the 24th to the 27th, in fact, we will see Schieder, Buzzi (today very positive in super-g), Marsaglia and Casse get off, all in the running for the second speed race of this world championship.
It will be interesting to see the approach of the big names, with Beat Feuz who chose number 11 to study the situation on a track that seems to be able to adapt well to the one who could be the big favorite on Sunday. The new world champion Vincent Kriechmayr will come out of the gate with the number 15, just before his compatriot Max Franz (pay attention to him too ...) and with Matthias Mayer who will start with the 19, followed by Thomas Dressen ready to test himself to re-enter race right in the world descent.
