Another wonderful duel between the masters of the descent, in a temple like that of Wengen.
The Lauberhorn is for the third time of Beat Feuz, already King of his home race in 2012 and 2018, but Dominik Paris is a splendid protagonist in a descent usually haunted for him: the blue jet takes the first podium in these parts, finishing in second place 29 cents from the Swiss, who takes away the red bib of leader of the discipline, but now he will have to deal with "Domme" on the Streif, next Saturday ...
And on the podium, just two hundredths from Paris, there is an excellent Thomas Dressen, who puts behind three of the favorites for today's great challenge on a Lauberhorn that has lost the first initial part of the slide, after the snowfall of the night. We are talking about Matthias Mayer, "only" fourth at 38 cents after the combined triumph, Mauro Caviezel fifth at 42 and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde sixth at 48, after a fatal timing error at the final "esse", which cost the Norwegian a second place which it seemed like something done (and it would have led him to the top of the World Cup general classification).
