First triumph of the Swiss ace in the Kitzbuehel descent (conditioned by the flights of Cochran-Siegle and Kryenbuehl), bending Mayer by 16 cents and with the splendid third. He is on the podium again, over a year after Wengen.

The day of liberation for Beat Feuz, the day of rebirth for Dominik Paris, but as per the tradition of the most feared and spectacular track in the world, also that of falls and shivers on the Streif.
The first of the two Kitzbuehel runs finally crowns a champion as the winner of the last three crystal balls of the specialty; for Feuz today's one, after four second places, is the first seal on the queen track, with the hundredths, to be precise sixteen, which this time are on the side of the red-cross champion (who had not yet rejoiced in the first part of the season) for beat the one who triumphed in 2020, namely Matthias Mayer.
On the third step of the podium, at 56 cents, there is, however, all the joy of a splendid Dominik Paris: over a year after the second place in Wengen and the crash at the Crusader dating back to 21 January 2020, but also three weeks after the 4th place in Bormio, the blue ace gives himself a great descent and a very heavy result both in view of the World Cup in Cortina, but also dreaming of climbing again on Saturday in the "original race".
If luxury injuries such as Kilde, Sejersted, Dressen and Mauro Caviezel were already absent here in Kitz, Ryan Cochran-Siegle and Urs Kryenbuehl will also be added to the list for tomorrow's second descent: the race was in fact stopped earlier for the flight to the Hausbergkante of the American super-g winner in Bormio, taken away by helicopter for a shoulder problem and perhaps a back problem.
