Bormio is already ready for its big appointment at the end of 2022, when the last two races of the year will take place in Valtellina, namely the downhill and the super-g of the men's World Cup on Wednesday 28 and Thursday 29 December .
The official confirmation from the FIS arrived today, after the usual snow control which did not find any problems for the "Stelvio", just under two weeks from the event which will start on Monday 26 December, with the first of the two races .
The race times are set at 11.30 both for the downhill, which will be the fifth of the 2022/23 season, and for the super-g the following day, while we wait to understand when (and if, at this point) the FIS will recover the same race canceled at the end of November in Lake Louise.
The precedents on the Stelvio? Well, in recent years they very often bear the signature of Dominik Paris, who has won six times in downhill and once in super-g: also in 2021, the Italjet leader who is suffering so much in this first part of the season and from Bormio he hopes to be able to turn the page, he beat everyone in the queen race, with Marco Odermatt forced into second place. In super-g, before the second was then cancelled, Aleksander Aamodt Kilde clearly prevailed ahead of the Austrians Haaser and Kriechmayr.
