He is an Austrian brace in the first of the two men's downhill races of the European Cup, scheduled on the French snow of Orcières.
Niklas Koeck dominates the third specialty event (after the opening of Wengen where Cazzaniga won one of the two races, but is absent in the transalpine weekend for the World Cup commitments in Kitzbuehel), trimming 39 cents to compatriot Hemetsberger and 7 tenths to Valentin Giraud Moine, again on the podium after the Lauberhorn.
The best in Italy? Alexander Prast, 7th with 90 cents of gap and therefore only two tenths from the podium, even if the blue regret is linked to the exit of Alexander Prast, who had signed the best time in the first race.
Henri Battilani's 15th place was only fair (on the podium in Wengen), then we find Zazzi 16th, Paini 24th, Vaghi 26th and Franzoni 30th.
