The start of Phase 2 and the possibility for athletes to train outdoors can only make Emanuele Buzzi happy, who after almost two months of quarantine (he played the last race on 7 March on the occasion of the descent of Kvitfjell) told about the management of this period through its website and social channels. Returning from a year that is not a simple post injury to Wengen, but seasoned by two top ten in the season finale between Garmisch and Saalbach, who certainly give him great confidence for the future, the 25-year-old from Sappada was still able to train by dedicating time to usually neglected aspects . “Finally, after two months of quarantine, you can go back to go out and do outdoor activities - explains Buzzi - I take this opportunity for some nice walks with a little difference in altitude and running. I took advantage of the past weeks, when I had to stay at home or at most in the garden, to work on the flexibility of the body, doing a lot of stretching and free body exercises, things I need and that in normal times, especially during the season competitive, I always have too little time to cure. I have cured and I am taking care of the technique, also doing work of resistant strength, with low loads. In short, it was important to keep a minimum of condition and, in this last period, to resume all the movements to be ready when it is time to do the loading work ". Buzzi is clearly happy with the solution found by the federation to ensure that the national teams can return to the snow already in June, training at the Stelvio: "In a period of uncertainty like this, the news is very good that Fisi has made an agreement with the managers of the Stelvio structures so that in June the national teams can train up there. It is a nice sign of restart that I hope will be an important step towards a return to normal ”.
