Felix Neureuther renounces Levi's slalom

Following the fracture suffered in the thumb Felix Neureuther is unable to take the start in the men's slalom tomorrow in Levi.

The 34-year-old German from Garmisch-Partenkirchen did a test this morning that was not successful: "It makes no sense for me to race like this, the pain is too strong. It's better to come home and work as soon as possible (tomorrow or Monday in Munich, as the great head of Alpine skiing in Germany Wolfgang Maier said) and postpone the return of the race for a few weeks, "said Felix. Recall that Neureuther won Levi's race last year but a few days later he injured the front crusader of his left knee and had to skip the rest of the season.
