A ghostly Planai, for the strangest night race ever, without an audience and under the heavy snow that partly conditioned the first run of the men's slalom in Schladming.
And leading the seventh seasonal specialty event is a Manuel Feller who perfectly exploits the number 1 and closes, waiting for the 2nd heat scheduled at 8.45 pm (on a blue track with Jacques Theolier), with 39 cents of margin on a Sebastian Foss-Solevaag in stellar condition, further galvanized by his first career success in Flachau. The distant then begin to get heavy, with the track that has granted shortly after the first sub-group of merit. Michael Matt was saved, very good with 13 to finish third at 67 cents from his teammate, then Zenhaeusern (who started second) for the fourth partial time trial at 7 tenths, and here is Clément Noel who, starting with 6, closes at 79 cents but he can still think of playing what would be his first seal of the season.
At 89 cents and in sixth position, there is the red bib Marco Schwarz, always very solid, then a splendid Manfred Moelgg who signs the best heat of the season on the track that has already given him two podiums: the veteran of blue skiing is great 7th, 99 cents from Feller, starting with bib 23.
Behind the marebbano the void: Grange is 8th at 1 ”50, Khoroshilov (here his only victory, in 2015) 9th at 1” 62 and Alexis Pinturault 10th at 1 ”73.
