The fourth place in the Adelboden slalom brings the Val Gardena back to altitude, capable of a challenging second run to get close to the third podium of his career. His analysis and... the other classics on the horizon.

Over a second gained against Lucas Braathen, who already did a great 2nd heat on his own to go on to win the third success of the season, more than one and a half on Loic Meillard, pairing him in fourth position, and 1"49 trimmed to Linus Strasser who, thanks to that cent less, took away the joy of the third podium in CdM.
Alex Vinatzer invented a fearsome run, to recover from 15th (but the 1st heat was also decent, considering that the number 22 had already taken away more than a second of track from him at the start) to 4th final placement in one slalom in Adelboden which can really mark the turning point of the season for the best blue talent in the discipline.
Covered with criticism for the forks in the first three slaloms, today the Val Gardena responded in the best possible way, on the track with all his quality and, of course, all the risks of the case to "combine" something big, one step away from a half miracle that is still worth 50 very heavy points also to get closer to the top 15 of the WCSL (now Alex is 18th, but only 10 pts from the border of the second starting subgroup), in which Italy can only count on Tommaso Sala , again second best blue of the day with 15th place, actually ex-aequo with Stefano Gross, while Giuliano Razzoli (in turn dropped to 20th in the world lists) had to settle for 25th on the Chuenisbargli.
"I don't regret the podium just missed because the race went well anyway, especially in the second heat in which I managed, working, to fix some small details that hadn't allowed me to perform well in past races - the lucid analysis by Vinatzer after the race to fisi.org - It wasn't easy after three outings, but also mentally I did a great job with all the staff and this beautiful race arrived.
Now it goes step by step. I recovered a lot on both floors, despite the snow that I didn't like very much, but the work on the details made the difference. Italy is appearing several times in the top ten, the result of work that has been going on for some time and of which we are starting to see the results”.
