First time in Soelden for the 2001 class of a renewed national team. Giovanni: "A few days on skis, I will run without worries". Pippo: "I'm ready and full of energy".

It is the "Generation Z" of the blue giant, the Brescia-Bergamo duo composed of Giovanni Franzoni and Filippo Della Vite, chosen by dt Lorenzi among the eight who will be at the starting gate, Sunday 24 October, on the Rettenbach of Soelden for the '' opening of the World Cup.
They made their debut together last year on the Gran Risa, in the giant temple of Alta Badia, and in this Olympic season they will experience another first special as a couple, in the Oetztal in a few days. Giovanni Franzoni (Fiamme Gialle), with a record recovery from the injury to his collarbone remedied in July on the snows of Les Deux Alpes, will present himself without pressure in Soelden. "After the fall and the breaking of the collarbone I have lost many kilos that I am recovering - he explains through the press office of Energiapura that takes care of the communication - Few giant sessions in the legs, but now I have these days in which I can finish Well.
I am going to Soelden without worries, first race of the season, I will try to ski as best I can as always and ... it will be nice because it will be my first World Cup race with the public present. Having the chance to try the race track in these three days will be very useful, especially for us young people ”.
Filippo Della Vite, from Bergamo under the Fiamme Oro, sees his seasonal debut (he already scored points in a CdM giant, last February great 16th in Bansko): "This will be my first time in Soelden, a race to itself which makes me very charged and ready. I worked a lot and well this summer. My approach? It always sticks to everything, then what arrives comes. I am very well, we rested for 8 days and I recharged my batteries and now I throw myself into this new adventure ”.
On the Rettenbach few doubts: “It's a very cool track, the first part pushes, then the long wall and personally I really like the steep slopes. There my characteristics are enhanced, but I always think about living it heats after heats ”.
